Whether you're picking up a paintbrush for the first time or are a seasoned artist looking to refine your skills, Hillar designs personalized curriculums tailored to your level, interests, and artistic goals. From drawing and painting to collage, printmaking, and sculpture, her approach is as diverse as her students—who range in age from 4 to 100.

The Open Studio is an inspired teaching & learning experience.
It provides a diverse group of students the opportunity to explore, learn and have some fun in a safe space while making artwork of their choice via ZOOM.
Within this open studio format,
I offer instruction & direction in DRAWING, PAINTING (Acrylic, & Watercolor), MIXED MEDIA COLLAGE, & PRINTMAKING. (class size limited to 12 students)
MY GOAL is to provide students a fun, flexible and nurturing space
- to be inspired & embrace their creativity
- to learn new skills in material use & technique
- to connect & share experiences within an art community
- to tell their stories through the language of art making
- to receive individualized direction & feedback for their WIP* (work in progress)
